Aspiring college students today are approaching the college search and admissions process in a much different way than students of old. Not only are the attitudes of the students different, but so too are the qualities in which these sets of students value in their colleges. What’s more, these students will no longer learn about these colleges through what would once be considered the traditional methods, such as mailed pamphlets or open houses. Rather, they will learn most of what they’re looking for through their phones. Video content and virtual tours created by colleges around the nation are the most enticing way for students to consume this information. Understanding this, the marketers working for various colleges around the nation have had to adjust their strategy accordingly. Transitioning the most important information that aspiring students would need to know to influence their decision onto these new mediums, such as social media, will ensure that a college’s reach continues to expand. To learn more about the ways in which colleges are staying ahead of the changes in the recruitment processes, please check out the infographic accompanying this post.
